- Alan Liere’s Sept. 17 Spokesman-Review report: a Coeur d’Alene kokanee troll kept 22 fish, mostly 14–18 inches at 50 feet, and the Snake–Clearwater confluence has picked up for fall Chinook and steelhead after a slow first week.
- Idaho Fish and Game’s Sept. 1 Clearwater Region sheet lists more than 6,500 catchable 10- to 12-inch rainbow trout for September, including 3,000 at Winchester Lake and 480 at Fenn Pond.
- Idaho Fish and Game’s 2026 fall Chinook season (Aug. 18–Nov. 1) opened the North Fork Clearwater on Sept. 1 — three adults a day, only one unclipped — on a projected 26,000-fish return to Lower Granite.
