Gilroy Bassmasters books Clear Lake for a Type B weekend Sept. 19–20

Clear Lake’s mid-September bass calendar just got denser. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife fishing-contests board lists an approved two-day Type B black bass permit for Gilroy Bassmasters on Clear Lake (Lake County) Sept. 19–20, 2026.

Type B permits cover black bass contests with 60 or fewer anglers and are capped at three days; CDFW also limits how many Type B cards can stack on the same water on the same date. That weekend already carries Yak-A-Bass’s three-day Type A Clear Lake card (Sept. 18–20) plus the BAM Don Pedro Pro-Am across the Valley — expect crowded ramps and weigh-in corridors at Clear Lake.
