Emeryville boats keep limiting fall kings while rockfish and lingcod pile up

Day 9 of California’s fall ocean salmon season was still putting kings on the Emeryville dock. Fish Emeryville’s Sept. 9, 2026 scores on NorCal Fish Reports show salmon boats working at or near two-fish limits, and a Wednesday morning landing update called the prior day’s bite red-hot.
The afternoon sheet: Diamond 5 anglers / 10 kings; Here We Go 6 / 12 on a half-day; New Huck Finn 9 / 17 to 30 pounds; Scallywag 6 / 12; TigerFish 7 / 14 to 20 pounds. The same morning update listed a four-trip salmon dock total of 27 anglers / 52 kings — Lady K 10, Pacific Pearl 20, Scallywag 8, TigerFish 14 to 22 pounds.
Not every boat was on salmon. Oakland Anglers II’s full-day bottomfish trip (12 anglers) posted 120 rockfish, 85 sanddab, and 20 lingcod. Confirm current CDFW ocean salmon bag, area, and season rules — and Southern/Central groundfish RCA lines — before you keep fish.
