Best Bass Tournament lands a Type A Delta permit for Sept. 12–13

California bass traffic is stacking for mid-September on more than Clear Lake. CDFW’s approved fishing-contest list shows Best Bass Tournament with a two-day Type A black bass permit on the Delta (Contra Costa County) for Sept. 12–13, 2026.

Type A is the big-field black bass class (more than 60 anglers). Only one Type A is issued per water per day, so that Delta weekend slot is locked for this sponsor’s card. The same Saturday–Sunday also hosts Bob’s Marine’s Type A on Clear Lake and the one-day Catfish Bash Type D there — different water, same calendar crush.

Anglers planning practice or travel days should check Delta launch status and current black bass regs before the field loads the levees. Confirm the live permit line on CDFW’s contest board if weather or ramp issues force a change.
