BANC locks a Type A Clear Lake weekend Oct. 17–18
Clear Lake’s mid-October Type A stack now has a closer. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife fishing-contests board lists an approved two-day Type A black bass permit for Bass Anglers of Northern California (BANC) on Clear Lake (Lake County) Oct. 17–18, 2026.
Type A covers black bass contests with more than 60 anglers; only one Type A is allowed per water per day, and events max out at three days. This card follows Anglers Press Outdoors on Oct. 3–4 and Best Bass Tournaments on Oct. 10–11 — three consecutive Type A Saturdays on the same lake.
Recreational anglers that weekend should expect extra tournament traffic around launch and weigh-in. Confirm current black bass bag and size rules before keeping fish, and contact BANC for registration.
