BANC locks a Type A black bass day at Lake Berryessa Sept. 26

Lake Berryessa gets a mid-September Type A black bass day. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife fishing-contests board lists an approved one-day Type A permit for Bass Anglers of Northern California (BANC) on Lake Berryessa on Sept. 26, 2026.

Type A permits cover black bass contests with more than 60 anglers; CDFW allows only one Type A permit per water per day and caps those events at three days. That puts Berryessa on the calendar the weekend after American Bass’s three-day Clear Lake Type A (Sept. 25–27) and the same month as the BAM Don Pedro and Yak-A-Bass Clear Lake cards.
