American Bass locks a three-day Type A Clear Lake card for Sept. 25–27
Clear Lake’s September bass calendar is not done after Yak-A-Bass. CDFW’s approved fishing-contest list shows American Bass with a three-day Type A black bass permit on Clear Lake (Lake County) for Sept. 25–27, 2026.
Type A is the big-field class — more than 60 anglers, one Type A per water per day, three days max. That late-month card sits after Bob’s Marine on Sept. 12–13, Yak-A-Bass on Sept. 18–20, and Gilroy Bassmasters’ Type B on Sept. 19–20. American Bass also has a one-day Clear Lake date listed for Oct. 24; this brief is the Sept. 25–27 Type A closer.
Expect weigh-in traffic and a crowded main-lake weekend. Confirm the live permit line on CDFW’s contest board and current black bass bag and size rules before you keep fish.
